About Enduring Your Truth

“You are not the darkness you endured. You are the light that refused to surrender.”
— John Mark Green
What is Holistic Psychotherapy?
Holistic therapy is an approach that is unique in addressing the whole person. Holistic therapy explores the mind, body, and spirit working in harmony and seeking integration and balance. This therapy integrates spiritual, physical, mental, and emotional forms of well-being to help the individual develop a deeper understanding of themselves. It combines aspects of traditional talk therapy and non-conventional approaches of breathwork, meditation, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Clients are seen not as their diagnosis, but as a whole integrated person to address their presenting concerns and goals. The therapist works with the client as an allied force to help them customize realistic, achievable goals incorporating their autonomy, personality, age, culture, worldviews, beliefs, and identity. The role of the therapist is to help you activate and set your intentions for your desired change. Integrating diverse counseling theories, theoretical approaches, interventions, and methods, I hope to support the client in their journey through talk therapy and using other holistic interventions.
What therapeutic approaches do you practice?
I use an integrative approach to therapy drawing from an existential worldview. I incorporate an Emotion Focused Therapeutic [EFT] style with a Humanistic [Person-centered] approach. I also draw from additional therapeutic techniques such as DBT, Mindfulness, Guided Meditation, Reality, Positive and Choice theories based on the needs of the client. Each session is tailored to the client’s specific needs and life experiences.
My goal is to support clients as they seek meaning in their life’s journey. I empower clients on their road to self-discovery, relaxation, growth, and healing. Clients who enter into the therapeutic space with me are provided with an open, safe, non-judgmental environment to discover themselves on a deeper level. Clients will leave with a better sense of understanding of self, others, and the world around them. We will process issues and explore all areas of life including sexual relationships, work, school, personal relationships, emotions, health, and spirituality.
